About
Our story began in 2017 when our founder collected donations across London for families and orphans internally displaced by the war in Syria. The need to focus on menstrual health support became clear as it is often overlooked within the context of displacement and migration.
Demand for menstrual and reproductive support continued to rise alongside the cost of living in the UKβespecially for people awaiting their asylum claim who encountered societal barriers that hindered access to essential care.
In response, Nisaba was founded in 2023 to fulfill unmet needs for migrants who menstruate.
βBecause of cost many of the families have to resort to the cheaper end of products when it comes to period wear, especially if they are a large family.
